We are a Macintosh User Group located in The Mad River Valley of Vermont.

We meet monthly. We usually meet in the education room down stairs at SmallDog. On Rt. 100 in Waitsfield.

We are thankful to have a great, wired, room in which to meet, and since the SmallDog folks are already Mac users there is a base of knowledge and enthusiasm with many participating, BUT MadMUG is not a part of SmallDog.

As it turns out it is a case of simultaneous ideas. A group of local Mac users were looking to formalize their get togethers, expand the knowledge base and so placed a few ads in a local paper. As a result of seeing those ads some individuals at SmallDog got in contact and mentioned this was something that they had been thinking of but did not want it to seem like a sales pitch or anything of that nature.

And so here we are. An increasing number of Mac users just getting together to share and learn and hang out.

We have some really creative people in the vicinity, that coupled with the ease and power of a Mac can produce some amazing results. And many have offered to share their knoledge and creative spirits.

We are working on a set of bylaws(beta version will be available soon) and as you can see there is room to better define a mission statement.

We will be adding more resources to this site (as well as a continuous redesign) to make it as useful as we can - links, tips, etc.. If you are good at something this would be a great place to showcase your talents and share some of your wisdom.

Beyond all that this space hopefully will become like a living thing, growing and changing to fill the needs of those utilizing it. So if you have questions, comments or want to assist drop me an email <click here>.

Come join us for our next meeting. Everyone is welcome. All levels of users are encouraged to come, ask questions, answer questions, meet other Mac users and see what they are doing and maybe how they do it.
